There's not an app for that... yet!Still time to submit an App idea for FCP workflow (January 25, 2011)
There's till time to suggest an app idea in Intelligent Assistance's "There's not an app for that... yet!" competition. In December Intelligent Assistance opened its website for workflow application ideas. The goal of the competition is to discover what applications users need to support Final Cut Pro workflows. Through the competition page at www.AssistedEditing.com/competition, workflow application ideas will be gathered until the end of January.
In Phase 2 of the competition - through February 2011 - all the ideas submitted will be voted on by the user community. The winning application idea will be built by Intelligent Assistance and the contributor wins the application for free and an ongoing royalty. Everyone who votes for that application will be able to buy it at for half the selling price.
"Traditionally, turning a great idea into an application has been difficult," says Intelligent Assistance CEO Philip Hodgetts. "You could try and find a partner willing to invest in the development and marketing, or you invested serious money to pay a developer to create the application and attempt to market it yourself," he continued. "Instead we take that inspiration and add the perspiration to make an app a reality."
Intelligent Assistance guarantees to make the winning application, but may also make other suggestions from the competition.
Since the competition opened in early December more than 20 app suggestions have been submitted.
