The next great travel magazine launches its first issue
LOS ANGELES, May 6, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Ethical, sustainable, authentic, digital, and unforgettable: Immersion Travel Magazine strives to be everything a travel magazine should be by delivering stories that are genuine and reliable. Travelers and readers, who crave a new and honest look at travel, have been anticipating the release of Immersion Travel Magazine's first issue since the website was launched in 2013. Now, readers can dive into this free issue featuring articles, photographs and videos that reveal exciting views of the world simply by downloading it on their iPad.
From the alleyways of San Francisco's Chinatown, to the tiny kitchen in Oakland's favorite Italian restaurant, to the captivating shores of Half Moon Bay, Immersion Travel Magazine's first installment, "Big Bridges, Back Roads and Bolognese," captures a wide array of extraordinary and affordable destinations to explore in California's Bay Area.
When creating this first issue, founders Clare Hancock and Christopher Scotti had two goals in mind: to highlight local out-of-the-way places that have been recognized for efforts in sustainability and authenticity, and to feature more mainstream destinations from different perspectives. "I think we've done everything possible to accomplish these goals for our first issue," said Scotti. "Now, we'll wait to see what our readers have to say about it."
What started as a master's degree project to share honest information about travel developed into a full-fledged digital travel magazine with a mission to tell captivating stories about sustainable destinations in an ethical and creative way. "It has been nearly two years since the seed for Immersion was planted, and now that this issue has launched, we couldn't be more excited to see what the response is," said Clare Hancock. With the release of its first issue, Immersion Travel Magazine invites readers to escape to breathtaking landscapes, explore welcoming communities, savor delectable cuisine from nearby kitchens, indulge in captivating music and art, and discover indigenous wildlife in thriving environments, all from the vantage point of a favorite chair.
