The Plaza to Feature iPads With Virtual ConciergeLegendary New York City Hotel First in the World to Offer In-Room iPads for All Guests (January 31, 2011)
NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 01/31/11 -- The Plaza, New York City's ultimate luxury destination, will offer iPads in all guest rooms and suites beginning in January 2011. The landmark New York City hotel on Central Park South partnered with Orlando-based Intelity to become the world's first hotel to provide guests services and room controls using iPads and Intelity's ICE (Interactive Customer Experience) software.
The iPads available at this luxury New York City hotel will feature a multimedia video welcome and provide guests easy access to control their entire hotel experience. At the touch of a screen, guests can order room service, make restaurant reservations, contact the concierge, request wake-up calls, explore destination guides, and even check airline schedules and print boarding passes.

In addition, The Plaza will also offer ICE Mobile, allowing guests to download the hotel's Virtual Concierge Application onto their iPhone, Blackberry or Android. Ideal for guests on the run, the application allows this New York City hotel's guests to request wake-up calls, pre-ordering room service, make spa appointments and more.
