DMN Newswire--2008-4-2--The 11th Annual MediaMotion Ball (MMB) will be held at "The Sahara Hotel" Golden Room on Monday April 14th 2008. The event is brought to you by the International Media Users Group (IMUG) and the AE-List - totally independent, non-profit & volunteer organizations. In 2008 AJA video systems return as our Platinum partner and will be just one of the many sponsors giving away prizes on the night.
The MMB, now a tradition at NAB, is for media professionals who work in post production, 3D and motion graphics. Ticket price includes a multi-course buffet, entry in the prize draw and the opportunity to mix with your peers. Tickets are $60 paid in advance or $70 at the door.
First held in 1998 the MediaMotion Ball is now the premier event for post production, motion graphics, 3D and anyone in the production field attending NAB.
Everyone is welcome. We have attendees from various email groups and online forums. The IMUG and After Effects email lists form the basis of the MediaMotion Ball. We also have attendees from DMN Forums, Postforum, Pixelcorps, Digital Media Artists LA (formerly MGLA), MoPictive, The Compression List, DLF, The Vidpro list, various FCP users groups and many, many more.
The night always features our famous prize draw from a prize pool currently over $20,000. As usual we have some surprises in store that get announced as we get closer to NAB. Each year the organizing team keep the event fresh by adding just a little something extra - 2008 is the 11th anniversary of the MediaMotion Ball. The MMB is unique in the NAB landscape - a non-profit event for users by users and entirely volunteer created and run.
