The King of Digital Interviewing Welcomes the King of Interviewing to Advisory BoardLegendary Broadcaster and Interviewing Expert Larry King to Help HireVue Shape the Future of Digital Interviewing (May 01, 2012)
SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- (Marketwire) -- 05/01/12 -- Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sit across a desk from the King of interviewing? Now you can find out. Legendary television and radio host Larry King has joined digital interviewing provider HireVue's new advisory board. The well-known personality, former host of Larry King Live, co-founder of Ora.TV and one of the world's best interviewers, joins the advisory board to help evangelize the value of digital interviewing and position HireVue as an industry leader.
HireVue recently established its advisory board to help guide the direction of the company and its ground-breaking solutions as it expands its presence in the market. King is the first of several high-profile advisors to accept HireVue CEO David Bradford's invitation to help shape the future of digital interviewing.
"The business of interviewing is tough, which is why I see the value in giving businesses a way to ensure their resources are invested in those individuals who are right for their company," said King. "The team at HireVue has created innovative products that revolutionize the way employers evaluate and identify the best talent. As a member of the advisory board, I plan to help the company continue to grow and accelerate its success."
King is perhaps best known as the former host of Larry King Live, CNN's most watched and longest running program, with more than one million viewers nightly. As host, King has sat across from some of the world's most influential political leaders, celebrities, innovators and personalities. No stranger to taking interviews on the road, King has conducted interviews at the White House, from guests' prison cells, their homes and other unique locations. Master of the art, he is known for booking some of the most difficult guests to reach and providing an interview that truly showcases the interviewee.
His new venture, Ora.TV, is an online, on-demand network that will launch later this year to provide high-quality video programming for phones, tablets, connected television and other devices. Founded by King and Carlos Slim Helú, the network will be home to King's trademark interviews with the world's leading voices.
"HireVue created the advisory board to help us continue to improve the interview process and bring new value to our customers," said Bradford. "Larry King is regarded as a pioneer in the broadcasting field and has mastered the interview across all media -- print, radio, and TV; it's only natural that digital and On Demand would be his next steps! We're honored to have Larry join us and look forward to the invaluable insight he will provide."
King recently participated in a HireVue On Demand Interview where he shared his experiences and insights on interviewing. Employers and candidates can see and hear what King's favorite interview question is by visiting: http://new.hirevue.com/company/blog/contributors/larry-king/.
