Testimony ends in Steve Powell's voyeurism trialTestimony ends in Washington voyeurism trial of father-in-law of missing Utah woman
TACOMA, Wash. (AP) ' Testimony has ended in the voyeurism trial of Steve Powell after Washington prosecutors rested their case and defense lawyers declined to call any witnesses.
Powell faces 14 voyeurism counts, including accusations that he filmed two neighbor girls using their second-floor bathroom. His daughter-in-law is Susan Powell, who disappeared from her Utah home in 2009.
Earlier Monday, a Utah investigator testified that a journal uncovered during a search of Steve Powell's home in Washington state showed that the man took videos of women for personal use.
West Valley City Police Sgt. Todd Gray says Powell wrote in an entry he enjoyed taking video of "beautiful women of every age" and that he used the images for himself.
Powell did not testify.
Closing arguments are set for Tuesday.
