Telestream Enhances Media Workflows at NAB2005Company bridges digital islands between platforms and formats (April 25, 2005)

Telestream introduced FlipFactory HD, the newest product to emerge from its world-renowned FlipFactory family. * Commercials and Syndicated Content workflows feature FlipFactory TrafficManager automating the entire ingest workflow process, plus the FlipFactory Pro universal transcoder.
* Post-production workflows feature FlipFactory, ClipMail, and Flip4Mac products providing a tapeless, file-based, format-agnostic network environment for moving media files around; ClipMail and FlipFactory also provide ingest and reformatting for Logicalways asset management solution.
* Media Collaboration workflows feature NAB introduction of MAP product integration with Microsoft SharePoint to enable robust distributed workgroup media access and collaboration.
* Digital media tools for the Mac demonstration features new Flip4Mac products to make, edit, and play Windows Media on the Mac from within users favorite media applications.
* In addition to the new products, significant enhancements to the FlipFactory and MAP product lines were demonstrated at the show.
A number of important new partnerships were also announcing by Telestream at NAB, such as Panasonic. FlipFactory combines with Panasonic P2 to provide a completely tapeless, automated workflow from news acquisition and ingest to newsroom systems.

Generation Technologies FlipFactory combines with Generation Technologies to provide broadcasters a fully automated all-digital newsflow, from receipt of news content to reformatting and delivery to newsroom systems.
MIJO (the largest commercial distributor in Canada) FlipFactory TrafficManager automates ingest of commercials and metadata from the MIJOnet edge server to broadcast on-air servers.
North Plains FlipFactory provides ingest, conversion and delivery of motion image files in a wide variety of standard industry formats.
Reuters FlipFactory NewsManager seamlessly integrates with Reuters new World News Express (WNE) file-based delivery system to automate ingest of news content within the facility to news production and broadcast servers.
Sorenson Media Flip4Mac products provide optional Windows Media encoding and import support for the new Sorenson Squeeze 4.1 Compression Suite Macintosh version.
Sundance Digital FlipFactory integrates into Sundance Digital's Seeker, a Digital Workflow Task and Asset Management solution for broadcasters. FlipFactory also integrates with its Sales & ProgramView content management options for Titan and FastBreak Automation to provide low-res proxy creation and the movement of content on and off broadast servers.
Additional new partnerships include 360 Systems, Clear Story, Exanet, and Run Digital Media.
Telestream products were demonstrated in over 20 partner booths at last weeks NAB Show. MAP and FlipFactory are key media ingest and repurposing solutions in Microsofts unveiling of the Connected Services Framework for Broadcast and Film. A number of digital asset management partners are including FlipFactory for automated reformatting and file transfers, including Artesia, Clear Story Systems, EMC, HP, IBM, ICFInteractive Content Factory, North Plains, Pictron, Stellent, Sun, and Sundance. Automation partners including Telestream products in their demonstrations were Crispin and Harris. Content Delivery Partners include Aspera and Pathfire.
