Tees Texture Tip

A simple note about some very cool textures By Ko Maruyama
As a tease to the upcoming golf ball technique I'm writing, what could be better than a short piece on tees.  While modeling a golf tee is no great feat, finding a good texture for the model might be a little confusing for some beginners.

First, start with the model.  While you could use a HyperNURBS object to pull pieces out of a cube, tees are lathed, so what better tool than LatheNURBS to model it.

1. Create the profile spline, the edge of a golf tee.  The first point and last point  of the spline should have an X-value of 0.

2. Drop the spline into a Lathe Object.  That's all it takes to model the tee.
