Tecnomatix, Teradyne Extend OEM Partnership(September 06, 2001)
Under the terms of the agreement, Teradyne will continue to offer Tecnomatix's eMPower PCB Test Expert software as a front-end CAD preparation package option to Teradyne's Assembly Test Division test and inspection platforms. Teradyne has been a user of this test solution since 1993, when it was known as Fabmaster, and has now successfully implemented more than 900 seats at customer sites throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia.
"The agreement documents our success in providing customers with flexible, open architecture software tools as a key part of our test solution offerings," said Dave Anderson, Business Unit Manager, Teradyne Assembly Test Division. "eMPower PCB Test Expert has been an integral component of our test solutions and we will continue to make it available to our customers."
Teradyne sells eMPower PCB Test Expert software as a front-end preparation package for its Spectrum and Z1800- Series in-circuit testers, Javelin 1004 flying probers and Optima 7200 and 7300 inspection systems. eMPower PCB Test Expert provides an automated link to over 65 CAD systems. The solution enables Teradyne customers to develop test and inspection programs, and design test fixtures quickly and efficiently, allowing for faster time to market, reduced cost and improved quality.
