Tastebook Releases Over 100 Cookbooks on New Cloud-Based Ebook Platform Designed for People Who Love to Cook

  (February 09, 2012)

Berkeley, CA (PRWEB) February 09, 2012

TasteBook, a leading personal recipe and cookbook service, announced today the launch of its new TasteBook Edition eBook platform with over 100 cookbook titles from the Random House, Inc. list showcasing the publishers extensive front-list and back-list catalog of cookbooks.

The innovative service provides consumers with instant access to their favorite cookbooks anytime, anywhere directly from their web browser without requiring an eBook device. Unlike other eBook platforms, TasteBook Editions also include all cookbook recipes downloaded to a users online recipe library.

The TasteBook platform raises the bar for the digital cookbook experience, said Kamran Mohsenin, CEO of TasteBook. By enabling publishers to easily make available new and existing cookbooks in the cloud, along with downloadable recipes, we can deliver a far more interactive, beautiful, and social experience unlike any other weve seen.

Optimized for computers and tablets, TasteBook Editions deliver a highly interactive user experience that preserves the original design of the printed cookbook and includes useful, app-like functionality including:

  • Search for recipes across cookbooks
  • Save favorite recipes to collections
  • Add personal notes
  • View social content such as ratings & reviews

TasteBook recently partnered with Epicurious.com, the most award-winning digital food brand that reaches millions of passionate food enthusiasts every month, to launch an innovative new platform that enables cooking enthusiasts to download entire cookbooks into their Epicurious recipe box. Visitors to Epicurious.com can preview, purchase and read each ecookbook, as well as import the recipes directly into their digital recipe box. Users can access their recipes on Epicurious.com and across multiple digital devices through the Epicurious app, including the iPhone and iPad.

We are thrilled to partner with TasteBook and Random House, Inc. to take the recipe box to the next frontier, so that our loyal followers and food enthusiasts can import, read and access recipes from their favorite cookbooks wherever and whenever its convenient to them, said Tanya Steel, Editor-In-Chief of Epicurious. With this new platform, Epicurious users have the most comprehensive personal digital recipe box available by combining recipes from the most popular ecookbooks with their own recipes and Epi favorites.

TasteBook Editions are sold at the same price as other eBook formats with no additional charge to download the recipes. A TasteBook Edition web app optimized for tablets will be released in March. Users can preview TasteBook Editions here: http://www.tastebook.com/cookbooks.
