TVFoodMaps Launches Completely Rewritten Mobile Apps for iPhone and Android to Help People Find the Restaurants They See on TV(July 03, 2012)
(PRWEB) July 03, 2012
TVFoodMaps.com, the largest listing of restaurants seen on TV, is excited to announce the release of their mobile application. This is a complete rewrite of the original application with significant improvements in regards to the overall look and feel as well as the performance and stability of the app.
This is a huge step in providing their loyal fans with instant access to their comprehensive list of famous restaurants as seen on TV shows such as Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Man v. Food, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Bizarre Foods America and many more.
Some of the key enhancements to the application include:
Improvements in searching and filtering
New and improved listing pages
Ability to find recently added places
Browse by show (premium only)
The application still has many of the key features found on TVFoodMaps.com, like the ability to see videos, open up menus, and even add them to your personal lists for keeping track of all the places you want to visit.
The premium upgrade removes all ads and provides two additional features; you can browse restaurants by show AND get location based notifications when you are near any restaurant seen on TV.
According to the founders, "the ultimate goal is to create an easy to use application while still providing our loyal users the information needed to help make any road trip or vacation full of good eating."
TVFoodMaps was founded by two frequent travelers who loved to eat at restaurants they saw on TV. After being frustrated with the lack of a good research tool they created TVFoodMaps.com. The site now has over 2600 restaurant listing for 25 shows. Over the past year TVFoodMaps has added a number to make it easier for its users to find restaurants featured on TV. Integration with Foursquare and Facebook check-ins notifies users when they are near restaurants. Integration with TripIt informs users about restaurants near upcoming trips
