TEESPY, Inc. Launching Facebook Application and HTML 5 Mobile Application at DEMO Fall 2011

SANTA CLARA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/14/11 -- TEESPY, Inc. has launched a Facebook application and mobile app dedicated to golfers. and the TEESPY mobile app bring social gaming to the golf world. Users will receive digital trophies for accomplishments completed on the course after recording scores in the TEESPY mobile application or at TEESPY also compiles each user's scores to generate individual statistics to track personal progress.

TEESPY's backend functionality allows courses to push tee times to TEESPY members. A unique discounting system allows courses to unload slow tee times online at a desired discount.

The application can be used in Facebook or by logging in with Facebook Connect at The Facebook connection allows users the ability to connect with friends to compare statistics. Users can also find information for all their favorite courses on individual TEESPY course pages.

University of Colorado classmates Patrick Mark, Andrew Armenante, and Ken Amarit are the creators behind TEESPY. Patrick, a lifelong golfer, had long recognized the lack of technology available to the average golfer. After talking to Andrew, the two merged the idea of mixing golf with social gaming. Their collective dream was finally realized after reconnecting with VP of engineering Ken Amarit, who had spent the last few years working in TV production.

Patrick Mark and Andrew Armenante, as an S-Corp, formed TEESPY in 2010. TEESPY's revenue model is based on in-app purchases. Use of the application is free for both courses and users. Users will have full access to scoring, digital trophies, networking, and many other features. Courses will receive the TEESPY Booking Application and all of its marketing tools. Revenue comes into play once a booking takes place. When a user books one of the discounted tee times the price will be split between two parties, the golf course will receive the fee associated with the tee time and TEESPY will receive a convenience fee. Similar to the Fandango model, TEESPY will charge a fee for each individual tee time that is booked. For instance, if a player books a time for a foursome, the sum of four fees will be added to the final price. The fee will stay consistent and not adjust for different greens fees. TEESPY also plans on selling marketing information to major golf companies.

After a grueling year of research and programming, TEESPY is finally ready for release. TEESPY's goal is to connect online social networks with one of the world's largest social activities.
