TANDBERG Purchases HD Disk Recorder From PixelutionDVC Single Channel HD Disk Recorder to play out HD material at exhibitions (March 31, 2005)
Specialist UK Reseller, Pixelution Ltd, has just sold another DVC Single Channel HD Disk Recorder to TANDBERG Television. TANDBERG Television received the HD Disk recorder last week and their exhibitions team is already preparing to ship it across to Las Vegas for NAB this year.
Ken Murray, Exhibitions and Demonstrations Manager at TANDBERG Television states: "We received the HD Disk Recorder from Pixelution this week and were impressed by the speed and helpfulness of the Pixelution staff, helping us meet very tight time frames. The unit complements our 4 channel SD Disk recorder and dual channel HD Disk Recorder, supplied by Pixelution last March and provides us with an easy-to-use solution for our specific needs, which are to play out HD material through TANDBERG Televisions latest generation HD encoders at exhibitions including at NAB next month.
DVCs Single Channel HD Disk Recorder is an open system, and can be described as an HD Workstation for uncompressed capture, storage and playback of HD material in 8 and 10 bit quality. It can even be used to serve captured video files to any network attached system, for applications such as colour correction, non-linear editing or compositing. The Workstation Rack includes the latest generation of multi-standard HDTV I/O boards with 8 or 10-bit YCbCr or RGBA Frame Buffer. Files captured through the HD Disk Recorder are stored onto a native NTFS file system. The files can be immediately accessed by any open system application. The HD Disk Recorder supports most common file formats including QuickTime, avi, Windows Media 9, tiff, Targa, Cineon and dpx.
