T. Paul Thomas Joins Intrinsic Graphics as President and CEO

(July 26, 2001)
Intrinsic Graphics, Inc announced the appointment of T. Paul Thomas, former head of Turbolinux, Inc., as chief executive officer. Thomas will lead the company's endeavors in customer acquisition, product development and financial growth.

As Chairman, CEO and President of Turbolinux, Thomas built a solid management team, secured a third major round of funding, and led the fledgling company through filing of its S-1. Prior to that, as CEO of Artisoft, a maker of computer-based telephony systems, Thomas succeeded in turning around the then struggling company, returning it to profitability and increasing the share price 1500% during his tenure.

"Paul's experience as a builder and leader of growth-stage companies made him the ideal candidate in our eyes, especially with his record of turning promising companies into industry leaders," said Michael T. Jones, interim CEO of Intrinsic Graphics. "Under Paul's stewardship, we look forward to a period of accelerated growth and customer acquisition that will propel Intrinsic Graphics into the elite ranks of industry leaders."

"Intrinsic Graphics is poised for a period of tremendous growth and activity in the 3D graphics market, one of the most exciting industries in the world," said Thomas. "I was attracted to Intrinsic Graphics by the technology and the stage of growth the company is in. I see tremendous potential for the business going forward."

Thomas assumes the CEO role from Michael T. Jones, Intrinsic Graphics co-founder and CTO, who has been interim CEO since the company's inception. Jones continues as CTO, leading the company in refining and driving its technology vision. Jones also retains a seat on the board of directors.

In addition to his work with Turbolinux and Artisoft, Thomas has also held leadership roles at Apple Computer, Compaq Computer Corp., MicroAge, and Sunquest Information Systems.
