Synchronicity Boutique Continues Working to Change Fashion Industry Standards of Beauty--Applauds Television Anchor Jennifer Livingstons Powerful Anti Bullying Stance

  (October 06, 2012)

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) October 06, 2012

Synchronicity Boutique, the Baltimore-Washington areas hottest special occasion clothing and accessory shop for teens and adults, applauds the efforts of Jennifer Livingston and all people who feel they have to fit into a predetermined mold to be deemed beautiful.

Synchronicity Boutique has never labeled women based on their size or shape. If a slim woman is not called minus, why should a curvier woman be called, plus? We go out of our way to make certain that our customers feel more beautiful after trying on dresses than before doing so.

Unfortunately, for many women this is a new experience, explained Karen Mazer, Synchronicitys President. It is wonderful to see the eyes and smiles of teens and women previously labeled as a difficult fit when they emerge from the dressing room, knowing that they look amazing- they literally light-up. Every person has beautiful features- our goal is to focus on those characteristics that our customers know are fabulous and unique.

Our in-stock inventory has always included sizes 00 to 30W, and we accommodate every unique need possible. This year, we added Designer Sydneys Closet to our store to offer additional choices for women who wear sizes 14 to 44. In addition, we have never made a profit on up-charges, fees that many manufacturers charge for dresses that are size 16 or larger, and can result in dresses costing hundreds of dollars more at some stores, added Mazer. As a real-sized woman, I have been bullied throughout my life. I want to do everything I can to make sure that my customers can shop with their friends of all sizes and never feel excluded.

Named Baltimores Best by Baltimore Magazine, Synchronicity Boutique stocks 2013 prom dresses in sizes 00 to 30W and beyond, from a variety of designers including: Sherri Hill, La Femme, Jovani, Tony Bowls, Sydneys Closet, Faviana, Terani Couture, Blush, Mac Duggal, and Night Moves. This season, the Boutique is carrying more accessories than ever, and now rents Tuxedos and suits in every size, designed to coordinate with every dress they stock.

Synchronicity registers every dress purchase, selling only 1 of each style dress per event. Mazer is also very involved in school fundraising, and donates $5 for every dress purchase and tuxedo rental being worn to school events. Nearly $11,000 was donated from Prom 2012 Sales, supporting 240 schools' Post Prom Parties and SADD Chapters.

Synchronicity Boutique outfits customers of all ages from all over the world for homecomings, proms, ring dances, cocktail parties, cotillions, graduations, Bat Mitzvahs, Quinceaneras, sweet sixteens, college formals, military balls, pageants, weddings and other black-tie events.

Open since 2003, Synchronicity Boutique is located in Hooks Village, at 25 Hooks Lane, off I-695 Beltway Exit 20. Hours are Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays, noon to 5 p.m. For more information, call 410-486-8866 or 877.919.PROM or visit http://www.SynchronicityBoutique.com.
