OTTAWA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/19/09 -- According to a recent survey conducted by GridIron Software, the leading provider of workflow and performance tools for creative professionals, designers are looking for ways to become more productive and streamline projects. That is why the company has dedicated the past three years to working with the creative community to develop and hone GridIron Flow, its eagerly anticipated visual workflow management software which addresses many of the concerns raised in the survey. GridIron today announced that GridIron Flow will be available for public beta on February 18, 2009.

To date, thousands of creative professionals have already registered for the GridIron Flow public beta.

The company polled over 1,100 creative professionals in various print, web and video design fields to help identify the main issues affecting their productivity. The results were overwhelming, finding that 81 percent of these professionals spend up to four hours every day on administrative tasks rather than actual design work.

The survey also revealed that:

-- 96 percent would be willing to significantly change the way they work in order to become more productive -- 83 percent of respondents work on three or more projects at the same time -- 94 percent revealed they use at least three applications for each project -- 45 percent said they go through six to 10 versions of a project before finalizing it -- 82 percent admitted to deleting a file they later need

"The survey results confirmed GridIron's passion for creating Flow -- to dramatically increase productivity. Nearly 100 percent of the respondents said they would significantly change the way they work, even though with Flow they won't have to," said Steve Forde, president of GridIron Software. "Knowing how important workflow efficiency is to creative professionals, especially in today's economy with tighter budgets and fewer resources, Flow will allow them do much more in less time."
