Suntiva Recognized as One of Washingtonian's Great Places to Work for 2011Award Announced at the Washingtonian Magazine's Bi-Annual Event in Washington, DC (October 20, 2011)
FALLS CHURCH, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/20/11 -- Suntiva, a trusted advisor to leaders in achieving their most critical business outcomes, announced today that the company was recognized by the Washingtonian magazine as one of the 50 Great Places to Work in the Washington, DC area. Suntiva was selected after a panel of editors and writers reviewed more than 200 company applications and 13,000 employee surveys. Suntiva was specifically recognized for its dedication to employee wellness, to include a full-time Wellness Coach on staff, as well as its various other benefit programs and corporate contributions to local charities. The winners were announced at an event at The Mayflower Renaissance Washington, DC Hotel on October 20, 2011. Suntiva and other finalists such as, the U.S. Department of State, The Motley Fool, LivingSocial, and Marriott International, are featured in the November issue of the Washingtonian magazine.
"Recognition as one of Washingtonian's Great Places to Work is a testament to our philosophy that hiring Great Minds and Great Hearts is one of the most important investments for our company," said Dr. Hany Malik, Chairman and Founder. "And, we are particularly pleased to see one of our long-time customers, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, also recognized for this award, as we have been providing leadership development and related services to them for several years."
This year's 50 winning workplaces were chosen on the basis of several measures, including generous pay and benefits, challenging and interesting work, great work/life balance, opportunities to learn and grow, financial stability, commitment to charity and community, and the recognition and respect given to employees. Each employer was evaluated against the prior criteria with the final determinations relying heavily on the results from an employee survey that excluded the leadership team.
Suntiva's core values of openness and collaboration, assuming good intentions, leveraging strengths, and high integrity and ethics, are concepts that are put into action every day in the ways that employees work, interact, and deliver results to customers. "If you're just looking for a job, Suntiva may not be the place for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for a place where you can grow and learn, be part of an amazing team of talented people, and truly serve clients to make a difference for them and their organizations, then Suntiva offers limitless possibilities," added Adam Chalker, Senior Consultant. Other Suntiva benefits include a robust career development program, regular corporate training and events, and various employee recognition initiatives.
This is the seventh time the Washingtonian magazine has chosen Great Places to Work in the Washington, DC area. The feature is published every two years and dates back to 1999. Among the Washingtonian's 50 winning workplaces, there was a mix of small and large organizations as well as various industries ranging from trade associations, government agencies, information-technology firms, government contractors, nonprofits, and law firms.
