Streaming Media West Attracts Over 1,400 Attendees3-day conference featured 20+ interactive sessions and 100+ speakers (November 08, 2004)
More than 1,400 business executives, streaming media professionals, and press gathered in Santa Clara, California from October 26-28 to participate in the Streaming Media West Conference. Organized by Information Today, Inc. (ITI), Streaming Media West united professionals from all over the country to learn about the real-world implementations of streaming media technology and applications in the enterprise, education, and entertainment sectors.
The 3-day conference consisted of over 20 interactive sessions with more than 100 speakers and presenters from the technology and enterprise industries discussing the practical business uses of streaming media. On hand were many enterprise, education, and technology speakers representing organizations such as Ohio University, Discreet, Shell Information Technology International, Macromedia Inc., RealNetworks, Inc., Keynote, Apple Computer Inc., ESPN, Hyperion Solutions, Oracle University Online Learning, IBM Digital Media Services, AOL, State Farm Insurance, Cisco, NASA, General Electric, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Mayo Clinic, University of Cincinnati, Starz Ticket, Texas Instruments, DoubleClick, Washington State DIS, Yahoo! Sports, AP Broadcast, The San Diego Union-Tribune, MSN, PRISMIQ, Microsoft TV Division, ABC.com, CinemaNow, and The Seattle Community Colleges Television. Keynotes were presented by executives from Macromedia and Lockheed Martin.
