Strata Releases 3Dpro 3.9

Update includes optimizations and new training material By Dave Nagel
Strata has released 3Dpro 3.9, an update to the company's 3D modeling and rendering suite. The new version adds a variety of features and optimizations and also includes training materials. It's available now for Mac OS X and Windows.

Strata 3Dpro 3.9 adds alpha channel anti-alias blending, multi-light shadow optimization, hierarchical object structure advancements and 2D Bezier extraction. The company says that OpenGL support has been enhanced for better performance and that the Raydiosity renderer has been integrated with the Photon engine for an increase in rendering speed. Also added to the new three-disc version are training materials from ArtGrunt, Simply Strata and Westrim Digital, including a DVD from Westrim's series "Red Rock Strata Professional."

Users of Strata 3Dpro 3.6 or 3.7 can update to 3.9 for $99. Competitive upgrades are also available. The full version sells for $695 and supports Mac OS X and Windows. For more information, visit
