Storek Studio Enters VFX, Motion Graphics Design Market with Compelling New Plug In for the Digital Arts; Announces nVeilnVeil s Innovative SVG File Filtering Engine Unleashes Visually Immersive, Stunning Imagery for Final Cut Pro Users (June 02, 2009)
DMN Newswire--2009-6-2--The founders of Storek Studio announced today that they have entered the visual effects and motion graphics design market with the launch of an innovative new plug in for digital artists and the Apple Final Cut Studio community -- nVeil (www.nveil.com). Leveraging a sophisticated new SVG file filtering engine, nVeil enables the creation of an entirely new digital art form in which video clips - with full motion and color - are
filtered through SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) 'veils' to create visually immersive and stunning imagery.
nVeil provides digital artists and motion graphic editors with an extensive library of veils to transform clips into full motion, stained glass-like images for a variety of purposes, such as wipes, transitions or corporate logo design treatments. Artists can create their own SVG veils, or Storek Studio will custom design a veil for the user.
"nVeil represents an entirely new opportunity for the digital artist and editor," said Rich Storek, architect of nVeil. "The market today is crowded with a variety of plug ins, from basic special effects to simple titling tools, but none of them challenge the artists to rethink their design workflow by providing such visually compelling design approaches as nVeil. nVeil represents a new departure, a new visual design tool for the digital artist."
nVeil, How It Works
Working within Apple's Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express or Motion, digital artists first apply nVeil
as a video effect to any clip. Then, users simply choose a veil and adjust settings from eight parameters, transforming the video into a unique work of art. The nVeil effect veils the source imagery as a 'curtain' in front of the clip. The result is similar to a constantly changing stained glass design seen through a kaleidoscope. A demo of nVeil and a tutorial for its use are viewable here: http://www.nveil.com/tutorials.htm.
Pricing and Availability
nVeil is available free in a watermarked version or can be purchased at an introductory price of $99, which includes the full library of 60 veils. To see nVeil in action please visit http://www.nveil.com.
