Stardust Adds Executive Producer, Names New Head of ProductionBicoastal creative production company bolsters account management, production strengths (February 05, 2007) www.stardust.tv) has added Corey Cirillo to its staff in the position of executive producer, while also promoting senior producer Amy Kaufman Levy to the new position of head of production. In making the announcement, Stardust's founder and creative director Jake Banks confirmed that both executives will be based in the company's Santa Monica studio.
"The volume of work at Stardust increasing more than doubling over the past year and also, the solutions and services we provide are also increasing," Jake began. "Each project we touch requires creative brilliance, innovative production approaches, and also, the world-class account management. Amy has been pivotal in helping us attract phenomenal talent and deliver great work, and with Corey onboard, we have a production-savvy executive producer who is also an expert in managing accounts at the highest level."
A graduate of the University of Vermont, Corey began her career in advertising with Ogilvy & Mather New York. Working on the account side on the agency's IBM account over five years, she worked closely with Big Blue's marketing executives and top ad industry creatives to develop integrated campaigns which emphasized TV all spots were directed by Joe Pytka and also included print and radio elements. She later moved to LA, where she joined TBWAChiatDay to manage cross-media campaign developments for Ballpark, Jimmy Dean and Shell. She joins Stardust from the award-winning bicoastal music and sound design company Elias Arts, where she had served as Account Director/Sales and Marketing since 2005.
"Stardust is a vibrant, energetic company whose star is on the rise, where the energy is palpable when you walk in the door," Corey said. "Jake is an incredible creative visionary and they've already done an amazing amount of great work. Still, this is just the beginning of what's to come for Stardust."
Amy Kaufman Levy is a graduate of Otis College of Art and Design who spent the first two years of her career as a Graphics Coordinator/Producer for LA-based Fox Sports / Fox Sports Net, where her work with senior VP/creative director for on-air promotions Scott Bantle and others earned more than 20 PROMAX & BDA Awards. After stints as Graphics Producer for 3 Ring Circus and Senior Producer for Exopolis, she began freelancing with Stardust last year as a producer. High-profile projects she has produced so far at Stardust include Nokia "Paris," the Honda Fit campaign, recent campaigns for Macy's and Best Buy, and many others.
"The reason why I've stayed at Stardust for so long as a freelancer is that you can't compare Stardust's work to any other shop in Los Angeles," she said. "The integrity of each project Stardust produces is just amazing, which stems from our designers here, who are just fabulous. A lot of the projects coming in right now, I still say, 'Can I produce that?'"
