Stardrive Solutions Secures Order for Second Indonesian Broadcaster

Design software Gives Producers WYSIWYG Production of Titles and Graphics on their desktop via Chyron Duet (September 22, 2001)
Stardrive Solutions Inc. announced it has received the contract for installation and implementation of Stardrive Automation and the OpenMedia Newsroom System at TRANS TV in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The TRANS TV news team will launch in November/December 2001. The Stardrive Solutions products will be the front line production and automation tools in the TRANS TV operation. Stardrive Automation is an integrated technology solution that enables implementation of end-to-end media management and automation efficiently, effectively and affordably. OpenMedia is a leading news production solution that offers unparalleled flexibility in news production without sacrificing control of newsroom automation.

TRANS TV will rely on OpenMedia for production of all program content, including creation of customized rundowns, ingest of wire services, teleprompting and the timing of programs throughout its broadcast day. The Stardrive Automation system will manage all video and audio media, from ingest, through editing and production, to play out. Stardrive will also provide producers with low-resolution video browsing and editing on their desktop PCs, and using Stardrive View technology, TRANS TV's news people will synchronize the low-resolution media assets in their newsroom computer domain with the high-resolution media assets in the broadcast domain.

The Stardrive Desktop Design software will give producers WYSIWYG production of titles and graphics on their desktop via a 2 channel Chyron Duet.

Through its proprietary Stardrive Suite of products, Stardrive Solutions offers broadcasters the ability to dynamically manage digital video production as well as support metadata collection and query. This solution enables secure distribution of video to be simultaneously transferred and edited with on-the-fly conversion from analog formats to digital formats. Since 1982 the company has been dedicated to the development of newsroom computer and asset management systems.
