The 3DBOXX 8400se, which runs with 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel® Xeon® processors, scored 78.8 baseline score on the SPECfp_rate_base2006 benchmark and a 88.7 at Peak performance for SPECfp_rate2006. Both benchmarks measure floating point performance which has the most direct impact on workstation performance for digital artists who render images.
SPEC evaluates computer performance across a wide range of hardware systems, using the nonprofit groups software SPEC CPU2006. SPEC CPU2006 includes two benchmark suites: CINT2006 for measuring compute-intensive integer performance, and CFP2006 for compute-intensive floating point performance. Performance metrics within SPEC CPU2006 measure system speed and throughput.
