StageTools Releases MovingParts

Plugin offers multi-image animation from the NLE timeline By Dave Nagel
StageTools, the maker of MovingPicture and MovingChart, has released a new plugin for for non-linear editors called MovingParts, which is designed to animate effects and images over video. It's available now for Mac OS 9, Mac OS X and Windows.

MovingParts allows users to animate logos, create animatics and otherwise manipulate images directly from the timeline. It can move, size and rotate up to 32 individual images and also use the animated images as brushes to create effects on the underlying video, such as blurring and other effects. Animations can be previewed in real time without rendering, and motion is field rendered for subpixel accuracy.

MovingParts works with a variety of editors for Mac OS 9, Mac OS X and Windows, including Adobe Premiere, Apple Final Cut Pro, all Avid systems, DIscreet Edit, dpsVelocity, IMC Incite, Media 100 844/X, Pinnacle Edition and Liquid and all editors from Ulead. It sells for $129. Current users of MovingPicture can purchase MovingParts for $79. For more information, visit
