St. Clair Updates Default Folder XNew version adds 'click to copy' filenames to save dialogs
Default Folder X 1.8b3 is a general utility for improving navigation in Mac OS X. It attaches a toolbar to the right side of open and save dialogs, providing access to additional navigation features, including providing access to windows that are open in the Finder; showing the path to the current location in the top menu; adding hotkeys to favorites and recently used folders; providing the ability to get info, rename and delete files without leaving the dialog; and adds enhancements for navigating folder in the Finder.
The new version offers the ability to click on grayed-out filenames in save dialogs to copy the name of an existing file. It also adds hotkeys for use in any application; the ability to set a single default folder for all apps; improved performance; and general bug fixes, including fixes for problems that occurred when using Default Folder X with Cocoa applications.
Default Folder X is available now for Mac OS X. The new release is in beta, and the software normally runs $34.95. For more information or to download Default Folder X, visit http://www.stclairsoft.com
