Soundart Releases Amp-O-Matic 1.0Guitar emulation system offers pre-amp, amp and speaker cabinet models
Soundart Chameleon is a 1U rack-mount engine built around Motorola DSP hardware. The programmable interface provides 24-bit I/O, AD/DA converters and MIDI I/O. And it allows users to load "soundskins" via MIDI, including the latest of Soundart's offerings, Amp-O-Matic, a guitar emulation system that provides 16 pre-amp models (tube and solid-state); three equalization models; four power amp models (tube and solid-state); and 15 speaker cabinet models. Features include noise reduction, signal routing (pre-configured or user-configurable); built-in chromatic tuner; I/O signal meters; quick mixer mode for mix balance; tempo sync, along with a built-in metronome; 18 real-time controllers; and up to five simultaneous effects. It also provides a standard MIDI expression controller, a Factory Bank with 64 presets and storage for 128 user presets.
