Solectek announces a new generation 5.8 GHz products with user throughput of 250 Mbps and Polling MAC.

  (June 06, 2011)

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) June 06, 2011

Solectek today announces the introduction of a new generation of 5 GHz product lines based on the latest MIMO technologies and MAC protocol. The new products will deliver more link capacities at ever lower prices with better reliability, providing the clients with the best price-performance options in the market.

The new generation of 5.8GHz systems delivers more bandwidth and new features to the customer base. We need to stay ahead of the curve on explosive traffic growth due to emerging bandwidth-hungry applications. New systems will support actual user throughput of 250 Mbps and address ever increasing needs for higher resolution, even HD format in video surveillance applications, says Dr. Eric Lee, CEO of Solectek.

The following are the new entries in the Solectek 5 GHz product lines:
Excel XL-250 PTP Kit
The new PTP link boasts a link throughput up to 250 Mbps, which is more than twice improvement over the Existing XL-100 series. The XL-250 features gigabit Ethernet interface, IEEE 802.3af compliant POE power input. XL-250 kit is available with integrated 23 dBi antennas or bundles 29 dBi external antennas.

SkyWay-Access Series
The Access series is Solecteks next-generation enterprise multipoint systems, with customized multicast support for video transport. Powered by gigabit Ethernet interface and 700 MHz network processor, the base station can provide usable system throughput exceeding 150 Mbps. The network capacity has been substantially increase to accommodate a large number of cameras per base. The Access series are able to support HD resolution network cameras which are in demand for security and police applications.

The new AIRLAN Series is targeted at wireless ISP applications where the key drivers for success are low cost CPEs and support for a large number of CPEs per base. The AIRLAN series are designed meet these challenges. The newly designed PPMTM (Polling Protocol for Multipoint) dramatically increases traffic efficiency as the network expands to a large number of subscribers and increased level of data traffic.
