SoftCare To Demo K4 Publishing System at IfraExpo 2004Hosts panel discussion on workflow based on InDesign and InCopy (September 22, 2004)
At IfraExpo, October 11th to 14th in Amsterdam, SoftCare will present version 5.1 of the K4 Publishing System at stand number 0325. In addition, SoftCare invites all visitors to a one-hour panel discussion focusing on the benefits of editorial workflows based on Adobe InDesign and Adobe InCopy on the IfraExpo NewsFloor. On Tuesday at 4 pm, developers and integrators will share their first-hand experience with the Adobe products and will answer questions from the audience.
The panel discussion will be hosted by Harald Löffler, Research Manager for Publishing Systems at the Ifra organisation. On the IfraExpo NewsFloor, visitors can attend a range of presentations dealing with today's challenges in the publishing world.
Participants on the panel include Gary Cosimini (Solutions Development Director, Adobe Systems), Ole Christian Frenning (CEO, FotoWare), Dr. Ali Al-Assam (CEO, KnowledgeView), Mark Leister (VP of Business Development, Managing Editor Inc) and Andreas Schrader (Managing Director, SoftCare). They will show how Adobe's products in combination with third-party solutions can help standardize and optimize workflows. They will also share some of their customers' experience in the transition to an InCopy-based workflow.
"Since the release of the Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign and InCopy receive a huge amount of attention from every kind of publisher", says Harald Löffler, Research Manager at Ifra. "We are very happy to see that SoftCare and its partners are willing to share their first-hand experience with visitors at IfraExpo."
"We want to show publishers the scope of possibilities that a fully-integrated editorial workflow can provide", says Andreas Schrader, Managing Director at SoftCare. "Publishers are hungry for information to help them stay afloat in view of the serious financial pressures they are facing. As developers of editorial solutions with fifteen years of experience in the field, we feel it is one of our responsibilities to show publishers how they can solve any issues they may face today or in the future."
