SocialVolt Appoints Joe Cox as Director of MarketingEnterprise Social Media Management Company Hires Industry Expert to Help Grow Company (November 10, 2011)
OVERLAND PARK, KS -- (Marketwire) -- 11/10/11 -- SocialVolt, an enterprise social media management provider, today announced the appointment of Joe Cox as director of marketing.

In his role as director of marketing, Cox will take responsibility for growing the SocialVolt brand. Cox brings an extensive social media track record to SocialVolt and will be responsible for the overall marketing strategy of the SocialVolt platform and oversee its tactical execution.

Prior to joining SocialVolt, Cox held an interactive strategist role at Muller Bressler Brown, where he worked with brands to implement digital marketing strategies. He has also served as a marketing manager at Coca-Cola, managing the Fuze, Powerade, Smartwater and Vitaminwater brands in the Midwest. In this role, Cox led all regional brand marketing activities and served as a certified social media spokesperson for Coca-Cola. Cox also previously held the position of brand manager at Red Bull, where he helped develop a brand with a true personality. In his roles at Coca-Cola and Red Bull, Cox focused on influencer relationship management (IRM) and emerging media.
Cox is currently the president of the Social Media Club of Kansas City, a 2000-member non-profit organization dedicated to community education of social technology in the Kansas City metro area. He holds a Bachelor of Science in interactive digital media from Northwest Missouri State University.
