ShowBiz Expo '05 Attracts Top-Tier Industry Sponsors

Leading industry players respond to show's bottom-line focus (March 31, 2005)

ShowBiz Expo, the original production industry conference and trade show, announces that it has already enrolled a solid roster of known industry sponsors for its upcoming exhibit and conference on November 4th - 5th, 2005, at the Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Air Center. ShowBiz Expo will focus on the evolving workflow process from production to post-production to the digital distribution of entertainment content.

"The Visual Effects Society is very excited to be part of this important event," said Eric Roth, Executive Director of the Visual Effects Society. "We truly believe that the show is going in the right direction by highlighting the digital work-flow process and optimizing business opportunities in that environment."

Some initial sponsors of the ShowBiz Expo 2005 are as follows:
-- American Cinema Editors
-- American Society of Cinematographers
-- Association of Independent Commercial Producers
-- Digital Coast Roundtable
-- LA 411
-- Music Video Production Association
-- Producers Guild of America
-- The Hollywood Reporter
-- Visual Effects Society

"We're thrilled at the quality and stature of sponsors that have chosen to support us thus far," remarked Joel Davis, President and CEO of JD Events, the trade show and conference management company that owns ShowBiz Expo. "These are some of the top organizations in production, post, content creation and digital distribution. Sponsors of this caliber reflect the industry's responsiveness to our serious focus on business development synergies for exhibitors and attendees."

Bottom-Line Focus
The 2005 show will be focused more than ever on the business of show business, by instituting such changes as:
-- Strong focus on networking and procurement: ShowBiz staffers will pre-arrange booth appointments in advance between top-tier attendees and exhibitors. This value-added service reduces the uncertainty of on-site meetings and optimizes everyone's time.
-- Upscale audience experience: ShowBiz Expo 2005 will be rolling out the red carpet for its attendees. Special exhibits and demonstrations, events and amenities will make every attendee a VIP. One of the special touches will be a Wi-Fi enabled lounge; allowing attendees to stay plugged in to their business day while at the Show.
-- Pros only: Only industry professionals will be allowed entrance. The criterion for attendees will include membership in bona-fide guilds, unions and associations, as well as evidence of recent industry activity.
