Shining Tech. Ships CitiDisk DVFireWire device allows for direct recording
CitiDisk DV supports direct recording DV streams from camcorders and instant playback from the computer. All of the DV streams are recorded and organized as computer-recognizable files, and users can instantly play back, edit, review and archive files, according to Shining.
The drive can also act as a regular FireWire drive for data storage when not being used in multimedia applications. And it includes a battery for portability.
