Share the Magic of Christmas With Smilebox's Dear Santa Interactive Greeting

Smilebox's Innovative, New Design Offers a Special Way to Send a Christmas Wish List to Santa and Get a Personalized Message in Return (December 01, 2010)

REDMOND, WA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/01/10 -- Smilebox Inc. (www.smilebox.com) today announced "Dear Santa," an interactive experience for both children and grown-ups that adds a fun and modern twist to a timeless holiday activity -- sending Santa a list of Christmas wishes. For the first time, a child's Christmas wishes to Santa can be sent in a video message or a photo inside a personalized, digital greeting from Smilebox.

After downloading the Smilebox "Dear Santa" design, parents can easily drag-and-drop a video clip of their child's special wish list or holiday photo into the holiday-themed template. Moms and dads can then choose to customize the video or photo greeting with their child's age, first name, and Christmas wishes, and send it to [email protected]. Smilebox will then send the holiday message directly to Santa! In response, children will receive a personalized email message from St. Nick the next day for a truly interactive and magical experience. The greeting can also be shared with friends and family who might want some hints for their holiday shopping lists.

"Writing a Christmas list to Santa is a tradition and Smilebox is putting a new spin on it. Our Dear Santa design makes for a fun and easy holiday activity for the entire family," said Tricia Montgomery, vice president of marketing for Smilebox. "Children will be excited to receive a personalized response from Santa himself and family members and friends will enjoy receiving a special Christmas list from their loved ones. Our Dear Santa design allows families to capture those precious holiday moments forever."

The Dear Santa design will be available through Christmas and can be downloaded and sent for free at www.smilebox.com/go/santa-letter.html. Families may share the finished greeting via email or upload it to their Facebook page or personal blog.

Smilebox is introducing more than 50 new holiday-inspired designs for the 2010 season, including holiday greeting cards, newsletters, invitations, slideshows and scrapbooks. After simply dragging and dropping photos and videos into a Smilebox design, customers can share their one-of-a-kind creations in many ways. A Smilebox creation can be emailed to family and friends, posted to a blog or Facebook, printed at home, or saved to a DVD or photo frame. For added convenience, it can also be printed directly to a retail location, such as a Walmart, Sam's Club or CVS/pharmacy.

The free Smilebox application is available for PC and Mac platforms and the download takes up about as much room on a computer's hard drive as a typical digital photo. Consumers can create and email or post any Smilebox for free. Additionally, Smilebox offers users two subscription options to Club Smilebox -- $5.99/month or $39.99/year for access to premium features such as full-screen and ad-free playback, extended music selections, and the ability to print and burn to DVD or a photo frame.
