Shakespeares Plays Now Available in the Scene Partner® Public Library(October 04, 2011)
Norwalk, CT (PRWEB) October 04, 2011
William Shakespeares plays were the obvious starting point for building out the Scene Partner Public Library according to J. Kevin Smith, Owner of MyTheaterApps.com.
Why start with plays from the Elizabethan era? Shakespeare scholar Harold Bloom wrote, readers (and playgoers) find more vitality both in Shakespeares words and in the characters who speak them than in any other author, perhaps in all other authors put together. (Shakespeare, The Invention of the Human, p. 10)
Actors, writers and theater companies that use Scene Partner to solve the age-old problem of how to memorize lines now have access to all of Shakespeares plays, optimized for use with the App and available for immediate download. The plays can be downloaded from the Scene Partner Public Library for the standard transmission fee of $1.99 per script. Smith says, In the coming months the number of scripts in the Library will continue to grow as the greatest plays from the Public Domain are evaluated, formatted and added to the collection.
Scene Partner uses a Library structure to organize scripts for use in the App. Customers receive a secure Personal Library on the Scene Partner servers when they sign up for a free account. Customers can then use this Library to store their own scripts on a temporary basis for subsequent download to the Scene Partner App. The Public Library, on the other hand, is accessible to all Scene Partner customers from within the Scene Partner App and contains a growing list of Public Domain scripts that have been optimized for use with Scene Partner.
The recipient of multiple awards for innovation and design excellence, the Scene Partner App, is a powerful new iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch app that gives actors a modern solution for how to learn lines.
