Seybold Seminars To Hold Two New Focused Events in 2005

Focuses on creative professionals and workflow automation (August 16, 2004)

MediaLive International, Inc. today announced a series of new events for 2005 to separately address the creative and workflow markets. 2005 Seybold Seminars events in New York and San Francisco will focus on creative professionals, while the Chicago and Amsterdam conferences will concentrate on the digital automation of publishing workflows. Two additional content management events will be announced later this summer.

Seybold Seminars is expanding its publishing industry influence in 2005 by producing a series of focused conference-only events created to separately address the specific needs of both the creative professional and publishing workflow managers. Conference dates set for 2005 include: New York, February 23-25; Amsterdam, June 20-23; San Francisco, August 29-31 and Chicago, September 12-14. Additional information on content for each event will be announced in the upcoming months.

"The addition of Seybold Seminars events in New York and Chicago now gives both the creative and production communities their own individual conferences to help them focus on the specific needs of each industry and allow these professionals to become more successful in their fields," said James M. Smith, VP and GM of Seybold Seminars, Publications & Consulting. "Based on feedback from vendors and buyers, and advice from the Seybold Advisory Board, we realized that the needs of the creative and workflow markets are better served separately."

Events in Chicago and Amsterdam will bring together publishing workflow professionals seeking new strategies, best practices and workflows in order to provide them with continuing education on the most current and emerging technologies and concepts. The New York and San Francisco conferences are designed to specifically address the needs of creative professionals involved in designing and creating content for print and the Web by providing them with knowledge and information that is immediately applicable to real-world situations.

"I applaud Seybold Seminars for working to serve the specific needs of both the creative professional and publishing workflow markets," said Sean Hiss of Enfocus Software. "We are excited by the addition of Seybold's New York and Chicago conferences and look forward to sharing the responsibility of driving the industry's strategic direction and innovation with Seybold Seminars."

In addition to the 2005 events, Seybold San Francisco 2004 is expected to be the most in-depth, practical educational program ever. Seybold San Francisco is the preeminent professional conference for publishers, consumer marketers and corporate communicators in the media technology market. Seybold San Francisco 2004 keynote addresses, conference tracks and tutorials will feature industry experts who will provide knowledge and information in the areas of Web publishing, print publishing, PDF, XML, platforms, color and digital imaging and advanced media. Seybold San Francisco 2004 will take place August 16-19 at Moscone West.

Seybold Seminars is now accepting speaking proposals for all 2005 events. Professionals from the print and Web publishing industry and executives from the business communications industry interested in sharing best practices are invited to submit speaking proposals.
