Sennheiser To Launch And Debut New InfoPort Tech Base Website At NSCA 2006Everything designers, consultants and contractors need in order to design and install systems using Sennheiser products (March 16, 2006)
Sennheiser is featuring the new InfoPort Tech Base at the 2006 NSCA Expo. The InfoPort Tech Base website (www.sennheiserusa.com/infoport) is a comprehensive web-based electronic toolbox that includes everything that designers, consultants and contractors need in order to design and install systems using Sennheiser products. InfoPort Tech Base resources include DFX files, 3-D solid models, PDF files, high-resolution images, architectural specifications, and frequency response and polar patterns.
Matthias Ajple, Manager of E-Commerce and Web Development at Sennheiser, will present hourly demonstrations of the website features throughout the three-day NSCA Expo. After the show, interested customers will receive a professionally produced multimedia CD that highlights the features of InfoPort and contains demos of the Tech Base site's capabilities. The multimedia CD is not intended to be a complete library of files, but rather to introduce Sennheiser's customer base to the InfoPort product, familiarize them with what they can expect on the website and provide a hotlink so that they can explore the site for themselves.
"The CD will open with an introduction to Sennheiser then lead into our latest innovation, the InfoPort Tech Base website," explains Joe Wagoner, industry team leader-installed sound, Sennheiser USA. "The Tech Base website is linked to our original website but is more business-oriented, and is intended as an information location or a toolbox for the working designer, consultant and contractor."
He continues, "The CD will introduce our audience to the navigation of the InfoPort Tech Base website and will show examples of some of the files available on the site. It will also demonstrate one of the things that we think is unique about what we're doing - our online viewer. This feature allows someone, without downloading or opening any programs, to look at a DFX file or a solid-model 3-D file online. Of course, they can also download files to their local hard drive and use them in any way they choose in their own CAD program."
Established in 1945 in Wedemark, Germany, Sennheiser is the acknowledged world leader in microphone technology, RF-wireless and infrared sound transmission, headphone transducer technology, and most recently, in the development of active noise-cancellation.
