SecureAuth Finalizes Product Integration With F5 BIG-IP(R) APM via Technology Alliance PartnershipEnd-to-End Solution Scales to Millions, Centralizes Control of Identities and Access to Applications, and Simplifies Access to Internal, Web, and Cloud-Based Applications (February 22, 2012)
IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/22/12 -- SecureAuth Corporation, the leader in identity enforcement for cloud and web applications today announced the integration of SecureAuth IEP and F5 BIG-IP® Access Policy Manager (APM). SecureAuth IEP complements F5's BIG-IP APM authentication and SSO for internal applications by providing integrated multifactor authentication and SSO for cloud applications that are accessed from both the desktop and mobile devices. The combined offering enables IT to easily deploy an end-to-end solution that scales to support millions of users, centralizes control of identities and access under one umbrella, and simplifies access to increase user productivity.
"SecureAuth IEP gives us everything we need in a single solution to protect and simplify access for our external users. The glue in the integration is the level of communication between the two products -- especially when it comes to authentication," stated Calvin Rowland, Vice President, Technology and ISV Alliances at F5. "If your products don't communicate throughout the entire authentication and SSO workflow, risk can be introduced and productivity impacted. The integration using F5 iRules between our products facilitates seamless communication and interactions that enables the next step in the workflow to happen securely and automatically."
Garrett Grajek, Co-founder and CTO of SecureAuth added, "Our development teams did all of the work to integrate the products so the combined solution can be deployed by IT with little to no training or effort. The single GUI and templates make it easy to configure SSO and the right levels of authentication required to meet business and regulatory mandates."
Authentication, end-to-end identity enforcement, and SSO are key enablers to business success as enterprises embrace cloud and mobile computing as an extension of their enterprise. F5 users will benefit from the following functionality in SecureAuth IEP:
- Combined solution scales to millions of users
- Versatile Authentication and SSO that can be easily configured for external users that access SaaS and web applications
- 2-factor authentication for end users that access cloud and web applications from their iPhones, iPads and other mobile devices
- Digital certificates can be easily generated, distributed and managed on an as needed basis for desktop and mobile users
- Self-service password reset eliminates help desk calls by enabling end users to reset their own password
- Single GUI and templates make it easy for IT to deploy combined solution that walks the IT administrator through the configuration process -- no coding or APIs to deal with
"The level of integration between our products exemplifies our TAP partnership and we are pleased that SecureAuth has leveraged our resources and services to the fullest," said Mike Schrock, Sr. Business Development Manager - Alliances at F5 Networks. "We set the bar high, partnering with companies that provide a strategic benefit to our business and joint customers can be assured of interoperability and optimized performance when deploying SecureAuth and F5 solutions in concert."
