Screenlife Acquires Digital Farm

Gaming technology opens door to DVD entertainment industry. (May 24, 2004)

Screenlife LLC, creators of Scene It? The DVD Game, today announced acquisition of Digital Farm (www.digitalfarm.com), a full-service digital media design studio. Screenlife has previously worked with Digital Farm to create the DVD Enhancement Technology called OptreveT. Screenlife will be adding Digital Farm as a strategic development unit fueling the growth with new DVD games and entertainment oriented products. By allowing DVD players to randomly access hundreds of video clips and puzzlers and keep track of what has already been played, Optreve ensures that every game of Scene It? offers new and exciting challenges.

"Screenlife is taking aggressive steps to solidify our leadership position as the premiere developer of DVD home entertainment; and with the unique talents within Digital Farm, we're able to harness the previously untapped power of the DVD to unleash an entirely new genre of digital entertainment," said Dave Long, co-founder and CEO of Screenlife LLC. "The intellectual property created by the innovative teamwork of Screenlife and Digital Farm is unmatched by any in the gaming industry. With this acquisition, we are effectively accelerating the execution of our roadmap, which includes some of the most content rich, educational and fun interactive entertainment for families and enthusiasts all over the world."

"When Digital Farm first partnered with Screenlife to create Scene It?, we immediately identified the key attributes necessary to create a winning digital entertainment product: compelling content, visually stunning material, and innovative DVD technology. Digital Farm brings a unique approach to DVD enhancement technology to the table," added Bill Kuper, president of Digital Farm. "Now, as one company acting as a singular team, we have exponentially accelerated the development process. With content teams fused with DVD technology teams, we are already rolling out newer, broader titles and genres with a powerful technology edge that, we feel, will cement Scene It? in the top spot in this exciting new market."

Launched in October, 2002, Scene It? The DVD Game was recently named "One of the 50 most significant games published since 1800" by reviewers at Aboutcom. In June of 2003, Screenlife signed a mass-market distribution marketing deal with Mattel, Inc. Scene It? was also one of only five nominees for the Toy Industry Association's prestigious 2003 Game of the Year award; Scene It? Jr. recently received a 2004 Parents' Choice Award in the Fun Stuff category from the Parents' Choice Foundation.
