Scarab Labs releases Star Filter 2.0 for After Effects
(September 15, 2012)Scarab Labs has released a major update to its star filter plug-in for After Effects, and it is now available for Windows and Macintosh computers. The plug-in is now perfectly suited for applying the effect on texts and titles, thanks to several changes, but at the same time it is still a highly photo-realistic simulation of star lens filters. There is an array of 12 different star shapes available at the artist's disposal, as well as numerous controls that affect the appearance of the stars. The plug-in can be purchased for US $59 on the Scarab Labs website at http://www.scarablabs.com/star-filter-after-effects. Existing users will receive a free update.
