San Jose Clean Energy Showcase Open to the Public for the Final Time on Saturday, November 5th

Your Last Chance to See a Hands-On Demonstration on How to Get Started With Solar; Showcase Hours: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Guided Tours: 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. (November 03, 2011)

SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/03/11 -- The City of San José Green Vision Clean Energy Showcase has been a huge success, and this Saturday, November 5th is your last chance to access the latest in solar, wind turbine, electric vehicle and solar hot water technologies. On Saturday, the showcase will open its doors for the final time from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and guided tours will be provided at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but registration for the free tours is encouraged and can be confirmed here. The Showcase is an exciting hands-on demonstration of solar technologies to help educate, inform and enable the community to go solar and save money!

Tour Highlights Include:

  • Which solar technology is right for your home or business
  • What's the real cost of going solar and how to save and get rebates
  • How to decode a solar installation quote
  • Explore the zero-energy EcoHouse

The Showcase is across from San José City Hall, at 200 E. Santa Clara Street between 4th and 5th Street.
There is a free parking garage available behind the showcase between 4th and 5th street.

This project, funded by the Department of Energy matching private donors, supports key goals of the City of San José Green Vision by educating consumers about clean energy solutions and resources for green collar workforce training.
