Company celebrates the launch of its Digital Photography and Video Center By John Virata

The Digital Photographer's Library is one of the prizes up for grabs in the contest
To celebrate the launch of its Digital Photography and Video Center, book publisher Sybex today announced that it has launched a Digital Photography Contest with a $1,000 1st prize for the best digital photograph submitted to SYBEX. The center highlights some of the authors and titles offered by Sybex, and is part of the company's larger commitment to bringing readers the latest advancements in the digital photography arena from the top experts in the field.

DigitalMediaNet.com and ConsumerElectronicsNet.com readers who wish to enter the contest can submit up to three of their best digital photographs by April 1, 2005 to the www.sybex.com website. Readers can also comment on other entries at the website as well, as Sybex will launch in mid April, a new digital photography forum on its website.

The contest judge will be Tim Grey, author of Color Confidence and Photo Finish from Sybex. 1st prize is $1,000 and publication in a Sybex book. 2nd prize is $500 and publication in a Sybex book. 3rd prize is The Digital Photographer's Library (retail: $99.95), with books by Mikkel Aaland, Peter K. Burian, and Tim Grey.
