SRS Debuts Circle Surround Encoder for VSTCircle Surround VST Pro supports up to 6.1 channels
SRS Circle Surround VST Pro provides Circle Surround encoding and decoding via two plugins for VST. The Encoder plugin allows users to encode multiple channels of audio into a stereo delivery format for use in television, audio CDs and other formats. It provides full-bandwidth (96 kHz) stereo surround channels and center channel dialog isolation. Circle Surround is compatible with many surround A/V receivers, as well as stereo and mono playback. Other features include:
- Support for 44.1 kHz to 96 kHz sample rates;
- Full bandwidth playback of three distinct rear channels;
- Support for LCR, LCRS, 5.0, 5.1, 6.0 and 6.1 surround formats;
- Selectable high-pass filter on main channels.
The Circle Surround Decoder plugin supports seven-channel output, bass- and dialog-enhancement technologies and multi-band steering logic for >30 dB front/rear channel separation.
Circle Surround VST Pro will be available in November for $499 for Mac OS X and Windows. It supports any VST-compliant host application with surround capabilities. For more information, visit http://www.srslabs.com.
