Rutgers student was 'uncomfortable' with roommateRutgers student who committed suicide was 'extremely uncomfortable' with roommate, email says
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J (AP) ' A judge says jurors in the Rutgers University webcam trial can't hear about an email passage in which the alleged victim referred to his roommate's behavior as "wildly inappropriate."
The judge did say jurors could hear about a part of the email in which Tyler Clementi said he believed his privacy had been violated.
It said that Clementi was "extremely uncomfortable sharing a room with someone who would act in this manner."
A resident assistant in their dorm testified about the email Wednesday.
Twenty-year-old Dharun Ravi is being tried on charges including invasion of privacy. Authorities say he used a webcam to spy on his roommate kissing another man.
The roommate, Tyler Clementi, killed himself days later. Ravi is not charged with the death.
