Rock Star Bragging Rights Are Up For Grabs At The Fluid Battle of the Ad-Bands IV, Sept. 27

Ten Creative Powerhouses Set to Vie for Rock Stardom (August 14, 2006)

 NEW YORK, NEW YORK August 14, 2006 Who will rule the night when ten  top advertising agency bands take the stage of The Supper Club in New York City on Wednesday, September  27, for the Fluid Battle of The Ad-Bands IV?


After two consecutive wins, reigning champion Pants  (McKinney, Durham, NC) has chosen not to three-peat so the 2006 challenge is wide open. Vying for the title this year are last years runner-up The Subliminals (Grey Worldwide, New York, NY), seasoned competitors World Grope (McCann\Erickson, New York, NY), Crankdaddy (MRA Group, Syracuse, NY), TBD (Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, New York, NY), Macho Grande (FCB, New York, NY), The Assless Chaps (JWT, Chicago, IL) and formidable first-timers, The Bullets (JWT, New York, NY), The Music Department (The Vidal Partnership, New York, NY), The Igniters (Brushfire, Cedar Knolls, NJ) and   TBD (Mullen, Wenham, MA).


This fourth annual competition promises to be every bit as intense as battles waged daily by these agencies in the workplace as the ten bands demonstrate their musical prowess and compete for rock star bragging rights. 


Proceeds from the competition will once again benefit music programs in New York City public schools. ?In four short years, this event has become the biggest, most exciting party in the ad industry. Each year the bands are better, the competition fiercer, tickets scarcer and the money we raise for charity greater. Battle IV will definitely crank up the volume and have everyone rockin, promises David Shapiro of Fluid, the co-creator and organizer of the event.


Scheduled for 8 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.), Wednesday, September 27, the 2006 battle will once again be held at The Supper Club, located at 240 West 47th Street in the heart of New York Citys theater district.  


$30 tickets will be available on beginning August 3. For group sales contact Steve Dima at 212 924-0173.  Any remaining tickets will be available the day of the show at The Supper Club. All previous battles have sold out prior to the day of the show and organizers expect the same this year.
