Ringside Creative Taps Dennis Moylan as Exec Producer

Editorial & design studio hits the ground running with Mazda campaign (November 28, 2005)

Dennis Moylan, a highly regarded advertising industry veteran with experience spanning art direction, graphic design and post production, has joined Ringside Creative as Executive Producer. Moylan will oversee all day-to-day operations for the company which provides creative editorial, motion graphics design and print design services to advertising agencies nationwide.

Moylan’s eclectic combination of creative, managerial and technical skills makes him an ideal choice to lead Ringside Creative, formed last month by GTN and award-winning editor Chris Hafner. “Dennis is the ultimate person for this position—he’s knowledgeable, cool, artistic and fun to work with,” said GTN President Richard Cormier. “He also has great management skills. Dennis has the right background to launch Ringside with the right attitude, which is to say, ‘let’s show you what the team can do for you.’”

For his part, Moylan, formerly Director of Graphics and Design at Postique in Southfield, Michigan, said that he found the opportunity to “get in on the ground level” of the new venture very appealing. “I’m not filling anyone’s shoes; I’m breaking the shoes in,” he observed. “I found Ringside’s concept unique and extremely intriguing. I was also extremely impressed with the editors and other artists on the staff.”

Moylan added that Ringside has a chance to help reinvent the way post production is thought of and pursued both in Detroit and in the broader national market. “We don’t just want to cut the board; we want to apply the talents of our people to the project as a whole, especially during the initial, conceptual phase when the creative is so important,” he said. “Clients today want to work with people who make each project their own, and that is what we plan to do. We bring that personal excitement to each job.” In its debut assignment, Ringside Creative is currently handling editorial work for a package of Mazda spots out of Doner.

After graduating from Michigan State University, Moylan began his career as an art director. He worked for Michigan agencies Walton, Kleene & Jensen, and Yaffe & Company Advertising on such accounts as The Michigan Lottery, Phar-Mor and Citizens Insurance. He later moved into post production as Senior Facility Producer at Producers Color Service in Southfield. In 2004, he joined Grace & Wild as Director of Corporate Marketing and Advertising, before moving over to Grace & Wild’s Postique unit as Director of Graphics & Design.

Ringside Creative is located at 13320 Northend, Oak Park, MI 48237. For more information call Richard Cormier (248) 548-5350 or visit
