Revolutionary Poster Management System Debuts in the US at the American Academy of Nursing Meeting - Hughes Group Named Exclusive U. S. Distributor(November 02, 2011)
Columbia, MD (PRWEB) November 02, 2011
ePostersLive, the first fully automated platform revolutionizing poster presentations at medical and scientific meetings, debuted at the American Academy of Nursing (AAN) Meeting in October to rave reviews. This is the most exciting thing Ive seen since the iPhone, said Ruth Kleinpell, PhD RN FAAN FCCM, Director of the Center for Clinical Research and Scholarship and Professor at Chicagos Rush University College of Nursing. Our authors submitted their posters easily on-line and then on site presented via video displays. No poster printing, carrying, tacking, or removing and disposing of them. Truly revolutionary!
Developed by SciGen® Technologies S.A., creators of PosterGenius® (the award winning software application specifically designed for creating scientific posters), ePostersLive provides meeting organizers with a flexible, easy to use system for managing poster sessions before, during, and after the meeting. Additionally, ePostersLive creates revenue generating opportunities for the organizers. The Hughes Group of Columbia, MD. has been named the exclusive U.S. distributor.
Before the meeting, authors create their posters in as little as 10 minutes and submit them on-line within seconds, with a single click. The poster session can go live online within minutes after the submission deadline, at the organizers discretion.
At the meeting, live presentations are scheduled as usual, and large screen monitors replace the traditional paper (and wood and gypsum poster-board) model. Throughout the meeting, delegates view posters at the desired number of separate work station kiosks. Delegates can find specific posters, or browse areas of interest, using a flexible key-word, author, institution or schedule based search engine.
During and after the meeting, if the organizer desires, posters can be accessed and cited as a reference on the internet. Thus, all scientific information is preserved, and the conference posters become a point of reference in the scientific literature.
The AANs Dr. Kleinpell added, We were impressed with the quality of the poster and the displays. The system is very easy to use and the e-posters were available on the internet during and after the meeting which was a nice added feature. I would highly recommend using the e-poster system as it truly advances the state of the science for professional poster presentations.
To increase meeting revenue, the ePostersLive system transforms the traditional large, unwieldy poster labyrinth into a compact, attractive area, ideal for sponsorship branding. The space requirements are dramatically reduced, saving facility rental and poster board equipment charges. Poster waste is also dramatically reduced.
We are thrilled to bring ePostersLive to the U.S., says Bob Hughes, Principle at the Hughes Group. The technology is simple, powerful, and sophisticated. It creates potential for increased meeting sponsorship revenue, and helps reduce costs because significantly less floor space is required for poster sessions. The meeting aesthetics are greatly improved. This is one of the most exciting scientific meeting enhancements Ive seen in many, many years. A fast, easy, affordable way to collect, design, organize and present consumer generated content as an on-going, self-funding process
