The recording of the soundtrack from the upcoming film Rent was recently completed at Ocean Way Recording Studios with Rob Cavallo at the production helm and orchestral dates by David Campbell. The much-anticipated film of the Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning musical is scheduled for release later this year.

Ocean Way owner Allen Sides commented on the historic site of the sessions, "Bill Putnam once said to me that of all the studios he had designed Studio B was his favorite. Hearing this large orchestra in this extraordinary room reminds me of what an acoustical genius he was."

Based on Puccini's opera La Boheme and directed by Chris Columbus, the story depicts Bohemians in the East Village of New York City struggling with life and love, and the impact they have on America.
