Renderosity Opens "Animation Outlet" and Web ServicesGallery where artists can showcase their talent plus three hosting services (July 19, 2004)
Renderosity is pleased to announce the opening of the "Animation Outlet," a gallery where artists can "Get plugged in" and showcase their talent. In support of this new gallery, Renderosity has designed three new hosting services designed to fit animators bandwidth needs.
With the growing popularity of animation, many of our members wanted a place to show off their work with other professionals and with more than 237 million hits per month, Renderosity is definitely the place to be seen. However, many animators find they run out of bandwidth during the last half of the month. With the Renderosity Hosting Services, we put the user in charge. They decide how much they want to spend and keep track of their activity through easy user-management tools.
The new Renderosity Hosting Services start at 150 MB of disk space and 5 GB of traffic, up to 500 MB of disk space and 30 GB of traffic. Each service is customizable allowing the artist to set their own spending limits and pick their own service options such as domain name service, website, FTP access, e-mails and more. Starting at just $14.95 the services are competitively low priced with a "starving artist's" pocketbook in mind.
Renderosity Hosting provides a simple, easy to use web interface that allows users to maintain their web site from any computer with an Internet connection. Renderosity Hosting is written in Java and works with any SQL-compliant database and runs only industry standard software. It is easy on the user, portable and completely configurable. It can help automate time-consuming tasks and has advanced resource management.
"We are really excited to open an animation gallery and to be able to provide this kind of valuable service to our entire community," said Tim Choate, Bondware President, "This will give members another artistic frontier to explore and expand as they continue to push the envelop of digital art."
In honor of this exciting event, Renderosity will be hosting a Grand Opening "Animation Celebration" contest. Sponsored in partnership with Maxon, e-on software, Curious Labs, and Second Life. Official contest details and rules will be posted on Renderosity July 21st.
Renderosity has been an online digital art community since December 1998. Starting with about 50 artists, Renderosity has grown into the largest digital art community on the Internet with more than 280,000 registered members, 60 software and topic forums, and 38 different art galleries covering 58 genres. The mission of Renderosity is to create a thriving, productive environment that encourages an atmosphere of community, respect, collaboration, and growth for graphic artists of all backgrounds.
Renderosity is owned and operated by Bondware Inc., a company based in Nashville, Tennessee. The company currently owns and operates several online communities. These community sites are based on the Bondware software that the company licenses and hosts to the business marketplace.
