Reelhouse Launches with New Stock Libraries

A group of designers and photographers from Lunchbox Studios has launched a new stock house called Reelhouse. The new firm is "dedicated to expanding the world of motion graphics by creating alternative tools for design professionals," according to Adam Roe, Reelhouse president. "Our goal is to deliver to designers and editors the high quality tools they need to produce unique and effective designs quickly."

Reelhouse had its official launch yesterday, offering 26 new royalty-free footage libraries and 15 still image libraries. The motion kits range from nostalgic 8 mm pieces to visual effects to masks for creating flickers, scratches and melts. The image kits cover architectural elements, urban scenes and natural phenomena, among others.
Initial motion offerings include:

  • 8 mm Kits 1, 2 and 3, offering nostalgic scenes with an 8 mm look and feel.
  • 8 mm Mask Kit, which includes masks for creating flickers, scratches and other film effects.
  • 8 mm FX Kit, for creating authentic-looking film effects.
  • Laser Kit, which offers studies of laser light.
  • Edit FX Kits 1 and 2, which includes a number of noise and feedback effects.
  • Grids & Scopes Kit, which includes 65 grids and scopes.
  • Leather Kit, which includes 16 slow pans across leather surfaces.
  • Liquid Lab Kits 1 through 9, which offer liquid effects like bubbles, blood and closeups of microscopic organisms.
  • Metro Kits 1 and 2, which offer subway scenes.
  • Typewriter Kit, which includes footage of old typewriters.
  • Urban Kit, which includes scenes from large cities.
  • Water Kit, which includes watery backgrounds.
  • Moving Lights Kit, which offers scenes of streaking lights for quick-moving backgrounds and transitions.
  • Traffic Kit, offering a variety of views of car traffic.
