RealViz Releases Stitcher 3.1 for OS XPanorama maker's OS X release a free update
Essentially, Stitcher allows users to move pieces of the panorama on top of each other and match up a couple of points, and Stitcher handles the rest. It includes tools for color correction and automatically fixes lens distortion. It can output to QuickTime, Shockwave 3D, VRML, cylindrical, equirectangular, rectilinear and cube faces, as well as standard image formats like JPEG, TIFF and PICT, among others.
RealViz was also expected to launch an OS X version of its ImageModeler 3D extraction software by this time, but the company has not yet made any announcements regarding the release. We'll be meeting with the company this week at the Macworld conference and will bring you an update.
Stitcher is available now for Mac and Windows for $495. Upgrades to the OS X version for users of version 3.0 are free. For more information, visit http://www.realviz.com.
