  (April 11, 2012)

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 11, 2012 announces the launch of their participatory news site, aimed at taking on media distrust and bias. According to a recent poll conducted by Gallup, the majority of people in the country do not trust mass media to report news in an accurate and fair manner. In fact, around 60 percent of people reported that they find the media to be biased, with most people citing that they find it to be too liberal in nature. has created a site that is slated to eliminate the media and political bias and simply bring people the news from around the world.

People want to know the news, they want the facts, but what often happens is that they get a lot of unnecessary bias and slant that distorts the information, explains Luigi Ricchio, the managing editor of political content for We wanted to bridge the gap and focus on bringing people the facts that they want to know and the stories that they need.

The site, which will essentially bridge the gap between news sites like The Huffington Post and the Drudge Report, is designed to be participatory, giving readers an opportunity to help others avoid media bias. The site offers news stories in a variety of categories that cover news from around the world, including topics such as the Middle East, alternative energy, business, entertainment, politics, science, sports, and health and fitness. There even is a category dedicated to iPhone and iPad news.

They also feature student news, giving budding journalists an opportunity to publish their news contributions. Student journalists can log onto the site, submit news, and use the Student Journalism Forums to obtain resources and ideas, and to network with others.

Another popular area on the site is dedicated to veterans, giving their voice a platform, called Veteran Voices. The area is unique and gives veterans an opportunity to share their stories and experiences, and to network. In this area they can post in a forum, as well as blog about topics that are of interest to other veterans, service members, and their families.

The future of news is here, its, added Ricchio. People want unbiased reporting of trustworthy news stories, and they want more participation. Thats exactly what we have addressed with this site.

About is a participatory news site aimed at bringing the world updated and unbiased news stories from around the globe.
